For 25 years Jim has dedicated himself to the Screen Printing Industry as the International Director of Sales and Marketing and Account Managment for one of the nation’s leading Screen Print companies. During this time Jim has managed the tee shirt programs for such noteworthy companies as Juicy Couture, The North Face, Patagonia, Timberland, In-N-Out Burger and Malibu Shirts to name just a few.
In addition to working with the for profit world Jim has also contributed his expertise to the non-profit community nationwide working with organizations such as Rails-to-Trails, Oceana, American Rivers, Tree People, Globe Aware and The One Campaign as well as dozens of smaller non-profits both local and national. This involvement in the non-profit community extends to several dozen museums and cultural institutions, both locally and nationwide.
Functioning as an Account Manager and Consultant Jim helped his numerous and varied clients to understand industry trends, supply chain issues, pricing, retail and marketing challenges and a host of other critical factors that ultimately contribute to the success of their projects, no matter the size or scope. During his 25 years in the industry Jim has built strong relationships with a wide range of manufacturers, vendors, suppliers and clients as well as his competitors.
To support the next generation of talent that will someday be a part of this vital industry Jim hosts several plant tours a year for students and faculty of several Los Angeles colleges that have active graphic design, fashion design and screen printing curriculum. Participating universities include Art Center Pasadena, Otis College, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Pasadena City College and Woodbury University.
For the past five years Jim has sat on the Advisory Board of Pasadena City College bringing his years of experience to the faculty and program planners to assist them in improving their screen printing and digital printing curriculum. He has also been included on a panel of judges for the screen printing program at Woodbury University, another local university committed to providing the highest level of professional and liberal arts education.
