Last night’s storm cleared off late and we woke to another sunny morning. We’re going on three mornings in a row without rain so that’s a new record. A quick shower and a light breakfast and I was out in the vegetable garden by 10am.

It was a vicious monster of a storm with extremely high winds and oceans of rain that made for alot of clean-up duties around the property.

On my walk around of the property I discovered this beautiful 30 foot tree that met its match during the storm.

“It’s not the first tree that we’ve lost due to storms” Manuel shared with me “and it won’t be the last”

Within 24 hours the tree was cut up removed and added to Manuel’s pile of firewood for the coming winter.
